Sample Post for Students--Demons by Alexander Pushkin

Note: Most of this post is total nonsense intended to illustrate one possible way to format a blog post. Students, please remember to write more sentences. I did not include the correct volume of information here.

For my project I looked at the following poem "Demons" by Alexander Pushkin. You may access the full text of the poem here.

Speaker
In this section I would talk about the speaker of the poem.

Imagery

  • "Quote 1"--In this example of auditory imagery, Pushkin vividly describes the howling of the wind.
  • "Quote 2"--This is my explanation of quote 2.
Figurative Language
  • "Quote"- In this metaphor, Pushkin compares apples to the sun. This adds to the bright and cheery effect of the poem.
Tone

This poem, which is about a children's soccer game, has a happy tone. I will add another sentence of elaboration.

Theme

The theme of this poem is that love lasts forever, even in the face of adversity. I would elaborate on how I know that here, but I won't.

About Alexander Pushkin

Alexander Pushkin was born in Russia. His great-grandfather was African. Pushkin is Russia's most beloved poet; every child memorizes his poetry in school. He also wrote plays and short stories. He died from being shot in the stomach in a duel. You can visit a monument on the spot where he was shot in a park in the suburbs of St. Petersburg.
